Bonfire Night: What to wear?
Remember, remember, the 5th of November… There’s definitely something about this time of year that ignites that festive feeling. With the weather growing colder and the evenings drawing in, all we really want to do is grab the cosiest blankets we can find, watch our favourite Netfilx series back to back and drink copious amounts of hot chocolate. However, Bonfire Night is one of those rare autumnal evenings which makes us feel adventurous enough to leave our much loved duvet nests behind and venture out into the outside world. So in light of it not being socially acceptable to wear a blanket outdoors, we’ve put together a 5th of November inspired style guide for those of you who want to stay on trend without having to sacrifice your warmth.
Yes, our favourite winter staple is back in our wardrobes and there are plenty of ways to style it. Whether you’re going for a bold printed beauty or a simple neutral knit, team it with simple black skinnies and black leather Chelsea boots. To complete the perfect laid back look, add our Cobain Backpack.
Chic and practical; it’s no secret why the cape is a firm favourite with the Fiorelli team this year. Opt for one with a statement collar for extra style (and extra warmth) points. Wear with a midi length dress, thick tights, brogues and the super sleek Harper Tote straight from our new SS16 collection.
Even though we love them, it’s time to ditch those much loved summer sandals for something a little more substantial. Luckily nothing beats shopping for a shiny new pair of winter boots. This year we’re opting for the ankle variety in a bold print. Best of all, these go with just about everything so don all the layers you can find and you’ll still look amazing. And the bag? We’d add our Austyn Tote to finish the look.
