GANGS OF NEW YORK
This brilliant but brutal film follows Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo DiCaprio), an Irish immigrant who has just been released from an orphanage and is out for revenge on his parent’s killer William Bill Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis). Cutting is both ruthless and powerful and Vallon must infiltrate his clan in order to beat him. Also starring Cameron Diaz and Liam Neeson.
THE MUMMY (TRILOGY)
Brendan Fraiser, Rachel Weisz and John Hannah join forces in this Egyptian escapade, noughties block-bluster. An American soldier travels to the ancient Egyptian city of Hamunaptra with an archaeologist who accidentally awakens a mummy who wreaks havoc on them, their parties and the modern world across three thrilling films. Cue desert races, swinging swords and soul-sucking monsters. You can also enjoy this one with the kids too.
MILLION DOLLAR BABY
Hilary Swank won her much-deserved Oscar for her role as aspiring boxer Maggie Fitzgerald, who seeks help from reluctant veteran boxing trainer Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood). They inevitably form a close bond that changes both of their lives. Also stars Morgan Freeman as Eddie Dupris.
QUEEN OF KATWE
This inspiring and heartfelt film trails the life of 10-year old Phiona (Madina Nalwanga). Who is introduced to the world of chess by missionary teacher Robert Kantende (David Oyelowo) and goes on a triumphant path to become a chess champion.
