Paryz’s Style Edit: THE STATEMENT PRINT YOU NEED TO BE WEARING NOW
When it comes to prints this season, florals are back and couldn’t be more chic. Not just ideal for spring, but, also for autumn, budding blooms are now bewitching as they take on a deeper hue in the colder months and we see the return of the ever-romantic: dark florals.
A huge hit on the AW17 catwalks, Erdem, Miu Miu and Preen showed us that florets are the perfect pattern to bring modern femininity to our awaiting wardrobes. Get the designer look for less with my pick of staple floral bags.
FOR THE BEGINNER
What better way to test the waters with autumn florals than accessorising with them? If you would like a more subtle approach but are a magpie for statement accessories, pair tailored trousers, a white tee and a bold coloured coat with a trusty floral backpack. The Anouk is a perfect example and will pop against these rich shades to give your weekly looks a fashion-forward spin.
FOR THE BUY-NOW-WEAR-FOREVER SHOPPER
Let’s be honest, most of us desperately seek out timeless pieces that wear season to season. Not only because we can keep a hold of our purse strings but, it gives us a sense of reassurance that our purchase (whether a save or splurge) was an investment. Florals are a sure purchase, it’s fashion’s treasured print and looks great on any age. I love the Mia Grab in the winter botanical print because it epitomises what a staple accessory is. A classic silhouette merged with an ageless pattern, what more could you ask for?
FOR THE FLORAL FANATIC
Don’t hold back if you’re a floral lover. Go for broke and wear it from head to toe and that doesn’t exclude your accessories. However, you don’t want to look like you’ve just coughed up daisies, so keep the look modish by choosing a bag that takes an understated approach to florals. The Harlow tote does just this as the buds lightly fall across its profile and a chic black flapover avoids making the print garish.
FOR THE ERRAND RUNNER
Even when you’re on the go you can show your fashionista side with florals. Take note of the leisure luxe look and match an all-black outfit of fuseau leggings, a vinyl trench and pointed flats with the Bunton Crossbody. That way your hands are free for the daily run around and even if you’re burned out at least you’ll look good.
